Portland Mayor Keith Wilson said in a statement in early September that, like other mayors across the country, he had not requested nor did he need "federal intervention."
On Saturday, Wilson said that "the number of necessary troops is zero, in Portland and any other American city" after Trump ordered "all necessary Troops" to the city.
Trump had earl磁力蜘蛛ier deployed troops to Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., which drew protests.
